Aesthetic goals for this renovation focused on marrying the serene surroundings of the neighboring marshland with the client’s strong tie to west coast style. The exterior renovation included all new materials + millwork with conditioned infill, wall cladding, windows, retractable insect screens, and a standing seam copper roof. The renovation also included new landscaping + hardscaping, as well as the addition of a pool. The interior building was completely reprogrammed to allow for a more open concept living space, a larger master suite + an awesome art studio on the second level. Custom finishes were executed throughout. Among other distinctive details, we installed a massive twenty-five foot folding door that frames the water view, a plaster range hood, a double level oak, steel + glass stair, handmade moroccan tiles, and a unique concrete, plaster + bluestone fireplace.
